LCPS will host a Three Rivers’ Health Department COVID-19 Testing Event this Saturday, October 9, 2021, from 10 am-1 pm. This event is open to all staff, students, their families, and the community. The test provided is a PCR test. Results are provided by the health department. Please bring identification with you. Testing is an additional layer in COVID-19 prevention. Reasons to test include: You're symptomatic; you've recently traveled or attended a large event, or you are beyond the 5th day of quarantine and want to return to work or school on the 8th day with a negative result.

This message is to confirm that Lancaster County Public Schools will be open for in-person learning 5 days a week beginning Monday August 23rd. Additionally, we will adhere to the state statute, SB 1303, that requires us to follow CDC Safety Mitigation “to the maximum extent practicable.” Therefore, universal masking will be required for all students, staff and visitors while inside all of our buildings. We will also continue to implement the additional safety mitigations, to include, but not limited to sanitizing, social distancing of 3 feet or more to the greatest extent possible and enhanced fresh air circulation coupled with medical grade air scrubbing machines in each room. More information with greater detail will be shared with families and available on our website soon. We are excited to have all of our children returning to our schools soon!

Lancaster County Public Schools will be holding a 3rd vaccination clinic for anyone age 12 and over, students, staff and parents. The clinic will be held on Thursday, August 5th at Lancaster High School from 9:00 - 12:00. The vaccine available is Pfizer. A link to pre-register is below along with necessary paperwork to complete and bring with you. Walk-ins are welcome; however, registering through the link helps for planning purposes. If you will be getting your 2nd vaccine on this day you must have your vaccination card present. Update on Masks: In an effort to keep the school community informed, this is an update. We have received updated guidance today from the Virginia Department of Health and Virginia Department of Education on masks for the 2021-2022 school year. We are reviewing the guidance and will share our local procedures in the near future.

Rappahannock Community College has opened up two COVID-19 vaccination clinics on Wednesday, July 21st and Thursday, July 22nd. Good afternoon Lancaster County Schools parents, We will be holding a 12-17 year old Covid vaccination clinic on Thursday, June 3rd from 9am to 1pm at Lancaster High School. We are taking appointments or you can just walk in, but students must have a guardian present to sign paperwork. All students/parents should be receiving an email with the appointment link and paperwork. All three schools will have the paperwork available on Tuesday if you do not have email. Good Evening LCPS Families: This message is in reference to the recent issues caused by the shutdown of the Colonial Pipeline. We understand that the frenzy caused by the concern for fuel shortages is putting a strain on the surrounding areas’ gas supply. Due to the difficulty to find fuel over the next few days, LCPS will operate remotely, or Learning Mode Red, on Friday, May 14, 2021 and all LCPS buildings will be closed. If the issue is not resolved over the weekend, we will reevaluate the situation. Currently, we plan to resume our normal "B" week schedule for Monday, May 17, 2021.

We are deeply saddened by the recent loss within our LCPS community. Our mental health support staff members will be available today until 4pm, and again on Monday from 8am - 4pm, to speak with students and families by phone or Google Meet as needed. Students and families should feel free to reach out to any of the staff members listed below to set up a meeting. Mental health staff will also be available at each school during the day on Monday for any of our in-person students who need additional support.
