Update Your Child's Information banner

Our Parent Portal is ready for you to log in and update your child’s information for the 2021-2022 school year. All you’ll need to do is log into the Parent Portal of PowerSchool and a link to the parent portal is located on the LCPS webpage. Once you’ve logged in, click on the student whose information you will be updating at the top, and then choose “Forms” from the left side navigation menu. An easy to follow instructional sheet is linked on the parent portal login page if you need it. 

Just like last year, if you have already created an account in the parent portal, then you are all set to log in and get started. If you have forgotten your Parent Portal login information, please use the Forgot Username or Password link on the portal homepage. This will send reset information to the email you provided last year. Please check your spam folder if you don’t see this in your inbox.  

If you have not created a parent account in PowerSchool yet, you will need to do that first. To create your account you will need to contact your child’s school to obtain the Access ID and Access Password that is unique to your child. If you need assistance with creating your parent account, or with adding additional children to your account, there are links to instructional sheets on the parent portal for those as well. 

These forms can be filled out on a computer or mobile device, but they can not be filled out through the PowerSchool mobile app. You will need to use the internet app on your mobile device (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, etc.) to access the forms section of the parent portal. 

If you do not have internet access, Chromebooks will be available to use in the front lobby of each school starting on Monday, July 12, 2021. These Chromebooks will be solely for registration purposes and you’ll need to contact the front office of your child’s school to make a reservation.

We would like to have all forms completed by August 2, 2021. Remember, because the forms are available online, after the initial updating of information, you’ll be able to update your contact information at any time throughout the school year, without having to contact your child’s school. However, any changes to transportation (specifically those that affect bus routes) will need to be made through the front office of your child’s school.
