A lot of LCPS things are happening in the next few days! April 12 & 13 from 10 am -2 pm at LPS: Furniture from LPS will be for sale. Items will be $10 each and only cash is accepted. Items include filing cabinets, chairs, tables, desks, etc. All proceeds will go towards purchasing furniture for the new Lancaster High School. April 22 is Family Engagement Night at Lancaster Elementary School: LES Families are invited to attend our Family Engagement Night about Reading in Nature and Earth Day! We will be partnering with 4-H to put on this incredible night. This event begins at 5:30 and dinner will be served. The Early Childhood Education Center will be closed on Thursday, April 11th due to a plumbing issue. The ECEC plans to be open on Friday, April 12th, but will notify you if anything changes. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. LES and LHS will remain open on Thursday, April 11th.

Hello Red Devil Families! Having had no snow days thus far this year, Friday, March 8th will be considered a 'snow day' for both students and staff. With the varsity Boys Basketball State Championship game being within a quick driving distance on Thursday evening, many of our staff, students and families have expressed their desire to attend the game. The boys are scheduled for a late evening game at 8:00pm at the VCU Siegel Center. This will make for a very late night for families, students and staff who choose to attend to cheer on the team. Lancaster High School ONLY will be dismissing at 1:30 today, February 20th, due to a plumbing issue. Lancaster Elementary School and the Early Childhood Education Center will remain open and dismiss at 3:00 pm. All LHS sports will occur today.

Thursday, February 15th are parent teacher conferences from 2-6pm. It will be an early dismissal for students. Monday, February 19th is a holiday for staff and students.

Lancaster County Public Schools will operate on a two hour delay, tomorrow January 19th. Further evaluation will determine if any changes to opening are needed and, if necessary, an update will go out by 8 am.

Due to the amount of standing water and the hard freeze overnight, Lancaster County Public Schools will be on a 2 hour delay on Wednesday, January 17th.

Tuesday, January 16th is a staff workday at LCPS. All staff may report two hours late tomorrow, January 16th.
