Good Evening LCPS Families:
This message is in reference to the recent issues caused by the shutdown of the Colonial Pipeline. We understand that the frenzy caused by the concern for fuel shortages is putting a strain on the surrounding areas’ gas supply. Due to the difficulty to find fuel over the next few days, LCPS will operate remotely, or Learning Mode Red, on Friday, May 14, 2021 and all LCPS buildings will be closed. If the issue is not resolved over the weekend, we will reevaluate the situation. Currently, we plan to resume our normal "B" week schedule for Monday, May 17, 2021.

The Canvas interruptions have been resolved. Due to the issues logging on to Canvas on 3/25/21 and the timing with closing out quarter 3, LCPS will be extending the work deadline for quarter 3 until Sunday, March 28th (11:59 pm.) Report cards will be mailed out on Friday, April 2nd.

At the moment Canvas is experiencing heavy traffic. This is a widespread issue and across multiple divisions. This means that students may have difficulty logging into Canvas this morning. If you are working on missing Quarter 3 assignments, please do not worry, we will provide you an appropriate extension. We will update you as we hear more.
