On Saturday, November 13th, 2021, Senior Hailey Smith ran a time of 20:09.10 to win the VHSL Class 1A State Championship.
The meet was held at Cave Spring High School in Salem, Virginia.
Other lady Lancaster County students that completed in the meet include Chyra Boyd (23:19.30), Jessica Hernandez (24:30.30), Allison Foulkes (26:31.30), Oliva Saunders (29:20.80), Alana Cystrunk (32:37.30), and Grace Lawerence (43:49.10).
The boy's team was led by Michael Foulkes with a time of 18:36.00 followed by Matthew Kane (19:58.90), Isaiah Minter (20:20.60), Jameson Scott (20:40.80), and Brian McCrillis (21:26.30).
