three lhs students at girl power

On October 29, 2026, three of our Lancaster County students, Kara Cockrell, Carrington Fussell, and Maliyah Rollins attended the Girl Power Event in Palmyra, Virginia, hosted by the Virginia, Maryland & Delaware Association of Electric Cooperatives!

This event encourages girls to explore careers, build confidence, develop leadership skills, and discover opportunities in industries where women can make a difference. They participated in hands-on learning, career exploration, and met other women that are leaders in the electric industry. All three expressed how much they benefited from the experience.

This is one of the many ways Lancaster County Public Schools is making sure our students understand traditional and nontraditional fields and have experiences to be Future Ready!
