Our Guidance Department has been BUSY helping students explore what’s next! From college applications to career exploration, the last few weeks have been full of opportunities for our Red Devils to think about their futures.
During Virginia College Application Week, the Class of 2027 submitted an impressive 220 college applications! We also tested more than 80 students on the PSAT and SAT, including freshmen exploring their potential pathways to Governor’s School and the Early College Academy.
But college isn't the only path to success! Students had the opportunity to:
Explore career programs offered through the Northern Neck Technical Center, including carpentry, cosmetology, culinary arts, and medical assisting.
Participate in Northern Neck Electric Cooperative's Girl Power program, where students learned about careers in the electric industry and even got to ride in bucket trucks!
Hear from local realtor Thebra Lawrence in our Future Readiness Hub about opportunities in real estate.
Whether it's college, technical training, or jumping into a career, we're making sure our students know what's possible and have opportunities to explore it. The future is full of possibilities, and our Red Devils are already taking steps toward theirs!
