The Lancaster High School Red Devil Band recently returned from the Festival of Music in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, after an outstanding performance that earned multiple top honors.
The Red Devil Marching Band received a Superior rating, the highest distinction awarded at the festival. In addition, the Red Devil Concert Band earned an Excellent rating and placed 2nd in their division.
Highlighting their success, Lancaster High School was also awarded the prestigious Esprit de Corps Award. This honor is presented to one school among all participating groups—including concert bands, jazz bands, marching bands, and choirs—and recognizes the program that demonstrates exceptional maturity, professionalism, and discipline, as selected by Festival of Music staff.
Upon their return, Lancaster County emergency responders welcomed the band at the Norris Bridge and escorted them through town. Community members lined the route to celebrate and cheer on the students as they arrived home.
Congratulations to Kenny Fleseter, Noah Sharp and our Lancaster High School Red Devil Band members for representing our community so well!
