Lancaster Elementary School is preparing to welcome the class of 2039!
Families with children who will turn 5 years old on or before September 30, 2026, are encouraged to register for kindergarten during one of the scheduled sessions:
April 22, 2026 | 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
April 23, 2026 | 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Registration will take place at the school, located at 191 School Street in Kilmarnock.
Parents and guardians should come prepared with the following required documents:
Original birth certificate
Parent/guardian photo ID (guardians must also provide proof of custody)
Proof of Lancaster County residency (dated within the last 60 days, such as a utility bill, lease agreement, or voter registration card)
Virginia school physical for the 2026–2027 school year
Immunization record
Families are encouraged to schedule their appointment in advance to streamline the process.
