Dear LCPS Parents, Guardians & Staff,
We want to make you aware that tomorrow you may notice an increased police presence at our school buildings. This is out of an abundance of caution.
Earlier today, we learned that a social media image has been circulating among some students. The image appears to look like an official school notice referencing a safety concern for December 11 and stating that all classes are cancelled. We want to assure you that this message did not originate from our school, and it does not identify any specific threat.
The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority. Although we have no information indicating a credible threat, we are taking proactive steps to ensure that everyone feels safe and supported. For this reason, we have requested additional police presence on campus.
