Lancaster Elementary School

Good evening LES families,

     In the event of inclement weather or emergency situations, Lancaster Elementary School has developed a plan for unscheduled remote learning days so that students and parents are aware and prepared. These plans will only be used on days when LCPS designates a remote learning day for our school. Not all school closures will require remote learning, and some schools may have remote learning while others do not. 

     If a remote learning day is called for LES, we will utilize online instructional programs for continuity of academic practice and feedback. These programs can be accessed via computer, laptop, or tablet. Attendance on remote learning days will be counted as “present” when a student participates in the remote learning plan or “absent” if they do not. Teachers will be available via email on remote learning days for questions, help, and troubleshooting. Students with no internet and/or no device will receive a packet to be completed at home for up to three days of remote learning. The remote learning packet for those who need it will be sent home this upcoming Friday, January 23rd. Please keep the packet in a safe location so it is available when needed. This access to internet and device is based on parent reporting during student registration and information updates. 

Programs are accessed via Clever at www.lcs.k12.va.us under “For Students” in the top toolbar.

Student username: student lunch number (ex. 1234)

Student password: student birthday in M/D/YYYY format (ex. 1/10/2020)
