Good evening LES families,
We had a great time at the 3rd annual Red Devil Run this Saturday, raising over $1,500 for our athletic and physical education departments. Thank you to all that participated, supported, or donated in any way.
There are a few upcoming events at LES that we hope you can be part of.
This Friday, students will participate in Turkey Trots in the afternoon. Students that choose to participate should wear proper footwear and will earn house points. Students that do not wish to participate do not have to run but are expected to support their classmates appropriately. Students have been practicing running in P.E.
Tuesday, November 11th will be our annual Veteran's Day program beginning at 9:30 am in the auditorium. This event is open to the public and honors the community members that have bravely served our country. Please bring photo ID if you plan to attend.
Next Thursday, November 13th from 5:30 - 7:00 pm is our November Literacy Night with a superhero theme. This event is geared toward K-3 families and is a great way to support your child's reading while receiving free books and skills/tools to help at home.
Finally, we will again host "Donuts with Grownups" for all grades this year beginning with K-1 on Thursday, November 20th and 2-3 on Friday, November 21st. Both events will allow 1 or 2 adults to visit our students in the cafeteria in the morning where an educational activity will be completed. Photo ID must be brought for this event.
