On March 25, 2024, Lancaster Elementary School hosted a Hometown Hero and Career Day. In the morning, various local businesses and community members visited classrooms and talked with students about their careers. Students were able to learn more in depth about what types of jobs are in our community and began thinking about their future careers.
That afternoon, students in grades 4th-7th attended a Career Fair and were able to visit tables to talk with business owners and have hands-on experiences to gain more understanding of different careers.
A special thank you to everyone who took the time out of their busy lives to give to our children. There has been so much positive feedback from the students, teachers, and other staff who were able to participate that day.
