Dear LCPS Parents, Guardians & Staff,
I am writing to inform you that the school division received an anonymous report today from an individual who stated they overheard a possible threat. While no direct threat was made to the school division, we take all reports of potential threats seriously.
Upon receiving the report, we immediately collaborated with the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office to investigate the concern thoroughly. After investigation, the reported information was determined to be non-credible; however, we will practice extra vigilance.
We want to continue encouraging students, staff, parents, and community members to report any concerning statements, behaviors, or situations they may overhear or become aware of. Reporting concerns allows us to respond quickly, investigate appropriately, and take any necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our schools. As always, the safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our highest priority, and we will always take the steps necessary to maintain a safe and secure learning environment.
